Ignus began learning Shadow Yoga with Oz Osmaston in South London in 2001 and studied with her for 6 years, before commencing the Foundation Course at Islington Yoga in 2007.  He has been studying with John Evans and Karen Watson at Islington Yoga since then, and has attended courses with Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves.

Ignus first travelled to India in 2000 and has returned to the country several times.  He holds a degree in architecture and works as an independent historic buildings consultant.
